UK Sold Prices for Google Sheets
UK Sold Prices is a free Google Sheets add-on. Type a postcode, choose a distance, and get every recorded house sale nearby in a new sheet. It includes median and average prices by property type, so you can compare a property with what sold around it.
What it does
Sales near a postcode
Every recorded sale in England and Wales within 250 m to 1.5 km of a postcode, from the last year up to the last 10 years. Each sale shows the price, date, address, property type, tenure, whether it was a new build, and its distance.
Summary by type
Median, average and quartile prices for detached, semi-detached and terraced houses, and for flats. The figures are spreadsheet formulas, so deleting an outlier row updates them.
Open data
Prices come from HM Land Registry Price Paid Data and locations from postcodes.io, both published under the Open Government Licence.
How to use it
- Install UK Sold Prices from the Google Workspace Marketplace, then open any spreadsheet.
- Go to Extensions → UK Sold Prices → Find sold prices.
- Type a postcode, choose the distance, period and property types, and press Find sold prices. The results appear in a new sheet.

Help
Why aren't recent sales showing?
HM Land Registry usually publishes a sale two to three months after it completes, so the most recent weeks will always be missing.
Why are some sales missing?
Price Paid Data covers England and Wales only. It leaves out some transactions, such as sales that weren't for full market value, right-to-buy sales and gifts. Sales such as repossessions, and sales to companies, are marked as non-standard: tick Include non-standard sales to see them.
Can I use the results in a report?
Yes. Keep the attribution line the add-on writes under the results: "Contains HM Land Registry data © Crown copyright and database right. This data is licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0."
