Terms of Service

These terms cover the Google Workspace add-ons made by Squareworks ("we", "us"), a sole-trader business based in London, United Kingdom. The add-ons are currently Geocode & Map and UK Sold Prices. By installing or using an add-on, you agree to these terms.

1. Using the add-ons

• Purpose. You may use the add-ons for personal or business purposes, in line with these terms and Google's terms for Google Workspace and the Google Workspace Marketplace.
• Fair use. Please don't try to get around the free limits or licence checks, overload the services the add-ons rely on, or resell the add-ons.
• Google Maps terms. Geocode & Map uses Google Maps features. By using them, you agree to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
• Your own API key. If you add your own Google Maps Platform API key, your use of that key is also governed by your own agreement with Google, and any charges are billed to your Google Cloud account.
• Attributions. Results include data from other organisations under their own licences:
• the US Census Bureau (public domain);
• postcodes.io (OS, Royal Mail and ONS data);
• HM Land Registry.

The last two are under the Open Government Licence v3.0. When you share results, keep the attribution statements that the add-ons show or write next to them.

2. Free and Pro plans (Geocode & Map)

• Free plan. The free plan has the daily limits shown in the add-on and on its web page. We may change these limits.
• Pro.
• Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription.
• It is sold by our payment provider, which acts as merchant of record and adds VAT or sales tax where it applies. Its checkout terms also apply to your purchase.
• The price is shown before you pay.
• Licence keys. One licence key can be activated on up to three Google accounts. Please don't share or publish your key. We may deactivate a key that has been shared publicly.
• Renewal and cancellation.
• A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.
• You can cancel at any time from the customer portal, which is linked in the add-on and in your receipt email.
• Pro keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds. If Pro isn't right for you, email us within 14 days of any payment and we will refund that payment in full. This is in addition to your legal rights.
• Price changes. We will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, so you can cancel first if you wish.

3. Accuracy

Coordinates, travel times, distances and sale prices come from third-party services and public records. They are estimates and can be incomplete, wrong or out of date. Check anything important before you rely on it.

Don't use the add-ons for:

• navigation;
• emergency services;
• safety-critical decisions;
• in place of a professional valuation.

4. Availability and changes

We work to keep the add-ons running, but they depend on Google and on other services we don't control, so we can't promise they will always be available.

We may change, suspend or withdraw an add-on. If we withdraw Geocode & Map Pro, we will:

• give at least 30 days' notice;
• refund the unused part of any yearly subscription.

5. Our responsibility to you

• What we can't exclude. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. It also doesn't affect your legal rights as a consumer.
• If you use the add-ons as a consumer, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care.
• If you use the add-ons for business, we are not liable for:
• loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data;
• any indirect or consequential loss.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

6. Privacy

Each add-on has its own privacy policy:

• Geocode & Map privacy policy
• UK Sold Prices privacy policy

7. Ending

• You can stop using an add-on at any time by uninstalling it. Cancel a Pro subscription separately, as explained above.
• We may suspend Pro if a payment fails, or if these terms are seriously broken.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new date. For Pro subscribers, significant changes apply from the next renewal.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or of the part of the UK where you live.
